It”s that time of year again. It”s time for YOU to learn something new! Don”t learn about history, or art, or English. Take the time and learn how to use IRC! Not only is it easy to use, but it”s one form of communication that the FSF uses regularly. Why not take the time now to learn how to use it?
DiasporaGames and the FSF are proud to announce a series of IRC training sessions. When will this first training session be? Friday, October 5th, 2007 at 8:00PM US Eastern time. To join this event, please come to the AOL/AIM chat room “Ten Forward” after 7:30PM US Eastern time. From there, you will be directed to IRC.
What happens on IRC? The FSF hosts an open group chat room, trivia events, staff meetings, annual Shuni Awards, OOC chat rooms for FSF sims, and even chat rooms for FSF chat games. Why not take the time to learn how to use IRC and be able to fully enjoy the FSF! Stop by for the IRC training at 8 PM Eastern, then stick around on IRC for the USS Noralus simulation at 9 PM.
Make your Friday night an IRC night!
Looking forward to some trivia? Want to play a Jeopardy style game against your fellow FSF members? Then this is it, Saturday, September 29th, at 9pm EST.
Come to our IRC network and to the #fsf room for the game! If you have an IRC client, connect to irc.sb254.com. If not, just go to the Java page on the FSF site at www.sb254.com/chat.php and join the #fsf channel!
What does it take to sign up? Nothing! Just show up! Jump right into the game and have fun!
How will the game play out? There will be categories and point values for each question. Once the question is asked, type ”!” to the room to ring in. The first person to ring in gets to answer. If they are correct, they get the points. If not, they lose the points for the question and the next person in the list is asked.
What do you get for playing? My Points, of course! Each person that plays will receive 10 My Points! Our top three players will receive 50, 125, and 250 My Points!
Want to have some fun and win My Points at the same time? Come to our trivia game this Saturday! If you have any questions, please contact FSFJosh.
