Community Game: Word Find

Its time to put your thinking caps on. If you”re good, you”ll be able to win quite a few My Points!

What you will need to do is take the words from the phrase that will be provided. Using the letters of that phrase, you must come up with as many words as you can. And remember! You only have one week to come up with your list.

What do I mean by this? Here”s an example. If I was given the word ”Guitar”, I could form the words ”tar”, ”tag”, ”tug”, etc. Each of those words could be submitted from me.

What are the rules?

  1. You can only use each letter in the phrase once. That means, if you have the phrase ”Tool Time”, you would not be able to use the word ”meet”, since there is only one ”e” in that phrase.
  2. Only one submission per player. That means that you do NOT want to submit your list until you”ve put down all of the words you can think of.
  3. Each word must be a word that could be found in the English dictionary. (see www.dictionary.com)
  4. Plural forms of words count as seperate words. Same goes for words in the past tense, present tense, etc.

You can win My Points based on how many words you submit! Here are the point lists.

  • 10 Words Submitted – 10 My Points!
  • 20 Words Submitted – 15 My Points!
  • 30 Words Submitted – 20 My Points!
  • 40 Words Submitted – 25 My Points!
  • 50 Words Submitted – 30 My Points!
  • Between 50 and 170 Words – My Point! total based upon the number of words.
  • More than 170 Words – Same My Point total as 170 Words (90 Points)

If you are among the top three submitters, you will receive more points!

  • Third Highest Word Count – 100 My Points!
  • Second Highest Word Count – 150 My Points!
  • Highest Word Count (1st Place) – 250 My Points!

ALL submissions must be sent to FSF Josh via email. If you need to email him, click here.

The phrase that you have to create your words is: “Federation Sim Fleet“. Game ends Monday, July 3rd, at 1PM EST!

The Commander”s Table – Issue 9 Released

Welcome to the Commander”s Table. This is a place for a FSF Hosts to tell their stories. The Commander”s Table spans all time and space and you never know where you may find it or who may be there. The bartender, Cap, makes sure that only Commanders enter and, somehow, always knows exactly what you want to drink before you even realize it yourself. The bar appears differently to people, drawing from whom and what they are to make a place that is most comfortable to them.

To Klingons it would be just like a place found deep in the cities of the homeworld with weapons abounding on the walls. To the Irishman, it would be an old fashioned Irish bar. Each person sees and experiences exactly what they need to allow them to tell their tales.

There is no monetary exchange here. All drinks, no matter how many you have are all paid for in the form of a story. It doesn”t, necessarily, have to be a story of Command, just a story that means something and, hopefully, all can learn from it.

In this issue, the storytellers are FSF Titan and FSF Storm.

As is the custom of the Federation Sim Fleet, the Shuni Awards for 2006 are just around the corner. The Shuni Awards are a way of recognizing sims and simmers from throughout the FSF in different categories, whether they are serious or silly categories.

Before such an event can be held, though, categories and nominees must be named. Want to help out with that process? Then check out the FSF Message Boards! Specifically, go to the Shuni Awards forum and post your category suggestions and nominations. Maybe even you will win a Shuni this year!

…or is it?

Years after the first Dominion War, a new enemy has been born. A group called the ”Wraith” threatens the peace of the quadrant. The Romulan Star Empire has gone into seclusion, and the Federation is in its darkest hour…

Even now, space station Deep Space Nine still plays an important role in the survival of the quadrant.
